Zasttra – SA’s biggest online Mall

Zasttra is an online Mall where you can shop for a extensive range of products.

Founded in 2013 and based in Pietermaritzburg, Zasttra started out selling on bidorbuy and still have a presence there. Their stated goal is to be the no. 1 online retail store in South Africa.

Zasttra claims to be your easiest place to shop online in South Africa where you can purchase electronics, home appliances, clothing, footwear, mobile phones, computers,tablets, accessories,  automobile parts.

You have to register to use Zasttra but you can choose to sign in with Facebook or Google+ and there is the usual newsletter activated by default on registration. As incentive you are offered a R100 off discount coupon for registering.

There is a Mobile App that is available for download on the Google Play and Apple App stores so you don’t need a computer to shop on Zasttra.

A feature worth looking into is that you can set up your own products to sell on Zasttra in the “Sellers Zone”. Here sellers can list products in more than 30 categories. Zasttra takes a commission on sales on a sliding scale. There is also a “Fulfillment by Zasttra” (FBZ) option where they will store and ship your goods in their own network and handle customer support –  for a fee.

Payment on Zasttra is by  EFT, Credit & Debit Cards, Pasyfast, SnapScan, Mobicred, i-Pay, Zapper, Masterpass, Cash Deposit and bitcoin

Zasttra offers free delivery only on orders over R500. They use door-to-door couriers or the Post Office counter-to-counter Speedservice. You can collect at the warehouse only if you are in Pietermaritzburg. They promise that shipping takes place within 48 hours of payment but delivery times might vary. You can track the status of your order in your account.

Zasttra offers a minimum of 3 months warranty. Their returns policy is fairly convoluted but breaks down to that, depending on the applied return policy, you may return your item within 7 calendar days. The countdown starts from the date you received the item to the post stamp date on the return parcel. You have to pay the return courier/shipping. There are lots of T&C’s.

There are several support avenues open to customers. There is a call center at 087 237 4746, a whole lot of help and FAQ pages, an e-mail contact form and if that is not enough online chatbox where you can write a question and they get back to you.

There don’t seem to be any Social Media links for Zasttra.
